Smile and Nod is a comedy-drama series written by Dave Young at The Shouting Mute and other AAC users about a group of misfit disabled teenagers, their stressed out carers and struggling family‘s as they seek adventures and rights of passage into an adults world and the challenges of ableism, friendship and love along the way 

The Shouting Mute presents Social Media Meltdown co-produced with Diverse City. A new multidisciplinary gig-theatre performance coming in 2024! Co-created with children and young people and inspired by their relationship with social media, the performance combines poetry performed through eye gaze technology, storytelling, original music, and explores the relationship between social media and mental health. Partnerships includes the 'Arts Council England' and 'The Poole Lighthouse centre for the arts' and the Arts University Bournemouth (AUB)
